#FoodieJoints: Maizaru Sushi @ Irvine

For our first #tastytuesday side, we have Maizaru Sushi, a local Japanese food restaurant down in Irvine, CA. My dad took my sister + I for a lil’ family date; a favorite joint he used to eat lunch + get together with his co-workers. We went pretty late so it wasn’t super crowded, just a few tables here and there, but I can only imagine how the place is during prime hours. I gotta shoutout the staff (heyyy Maizaru staff!) cuz the waiters were friendly + attentive; I never spent that much time without a filled Coke + I appreciate that kind of service. Mostly because I know how customer service can be. So thank y’all for helping make our night.

The sushi is BOMB AF. I wish I had a more elaborate way to say it but nah. The rolls are practically double what I usually get at other sushi stops + all the seafood they used tasted hella fresh; cooked to perfection. I got the Maizaru roll + the Alaska roll, y’know….just in case y’all wanna know what I happened to be chowin’ down on for recommendations.

The onlyyyy thing I would’ve down differently was sit outside. It was around sunset and it seemed a little more social, but that’s just me. I enjoy that feel good movie kind of vibe. But I got to leave with the leftovers ayyyy, shout out to the sushi spirits for that one. 

I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new place or traveling into Irvine from out of town + need some ideas! Please stop by + give ‘em some love; with the kind of service they have, they’ll definitely give it right back.
